Today its an explosion of vintage and and secondhand collections from my house. Though the paintings on the wall are my paintings the other items are a composition of purchased items. A vignette of treasures I have picked up at my beloved junk shop the most recent the pink hibiscus tapestry and the blue ink painting. I have said in recent posts I don't pay a lot of money for my loved treasures, but I cherish them as if I did. I hope you enjoy them, please leave a comment and tell me what you think.

The stunning hibiscus tapestry is my most recent purchase also the globe, about $2.00au. The beautiful floral cushion is one of two,  these were soaked them in nappy soaker and washed twice and left in the sun.

The portrait is an oil, I did a few years ago of a Lismore girl, who was great model. The white sideboard was a very dark teak, I needed more light in the kitchen so I painted it white and sanded back to give it a rustic look.
The two candlesticks were once a table leg which I cut in half and stained black, cost about $4.00,  another tapestry and old painting were from the same junk shop I think I lashed out and they were about $12.00.

The enamel teapot my girlfriend gave to me as she was having a spring clean, I soaked it in vinegar  and washed out, perfect for a pot of tea.

I have had the suitcase for a year my girl friend Julie picked it up and gave it to me I think she knows me well, on the council verge cleanup, which happens twice a year here.

Closeup,  do you like the pink tapestry? it was thrown out at the local tip, the junk shop has salvage rights that is why they are so reasonably priced.
Cardboard and leather suitcases have been a obsession of mine for about 20years they are now reasonably hard to find, but you can still get them a garage sales etc.
